How to Skip or Disable Metro UI in Windows 8.1

This is a simple video tutorial on how to Disable Metro UI in Windows 8.1, disabling the metro UI allows you to log in straight to the desktop.

1. Right click the task bar and selct properties.

2. Select the Navigation tab from the “Task and Navigation Properties” window.

3. Under Start screen Check mark “When I sign in or close all apps on screen, go to the desktop instead of start“.

4. Then click apply and OK. From now on you will boot straight to the desktop.
