Basically i got my internal hard drive, put it into an enclosure and plugged it in, but as in previous case it is shown in device manager, but not showing up in my computer.
just follow the instruction
- go to start
- right click on my computer
- click on manage
- then click on storage
- then click on disk management
- then right click on your device and select add letters and path
- window will pop up then click on add
- the select an alphabet and click on ok

[..YouTube..] I have a 250GB Samsung Hard drive. My hard drive reads ONLY has 6.5GB – Windows only sees 6.5GB in Device Manager & BIOS only sees 6.5GB. I used tones of partition management / recovery software and software only finds 6.5GB Ive deleted my partition conpletely and the unallocated space says 6.5GB so I cant format any bigger. Does my drive need replaced??? Im out of ideas??

[..YouTube..] @Avoiderrors Drives only about 1yr old, Ive had this issue for around 6mnths and gave up on the drive for a while – but I want to use it now. The drive did work perfectly fine until one day it suddeny only read 6.5GB Ive checked the pins and my second hard drive reads perfectly at 500GB . I have other hard drives Ive tested and they all read fine. The 250GB that has issues is the newest hard drive. And its actually an IDE hard drive – so yes motherboard / processor is older 3.3ghz.

If it is the latter, this is what I do. using a USB adapter plug your HDD to a clean PC and go to my computer and see if the HDD shows there, if it does u can copy data off of it. If it doesn’t show. Put the HDD back in the PC, go to BIOS and run a test on the HDD with the manuacturer’s program, u should get PASS otherwise HDD is toast
