How to Reset Windows 8.1 Metro UI to the Default Tiles

Windows 8.x tends to create tiles of all installed apps or program clogging the metro UI with a bunch of unwanted tiles, so instead of removing them on a one to one basis I’ll show you how to get rid of all additional tiles at once with a simple command.

1. Press the Windows key + R to open the Run window.

2. Here type cmd and click OK button to open the command prompt.

3. In the command prompt enter the following command:

del %LocalAppData%\Microsoft\Windows\appsFolder.itemdata-ms*

4. Once you paste the comand Re-start your computer or log off and log back in and your tiles would be set to default. That’s it!!
